COD: BLACK OPS ZOMBIES GUIDE
Nazi zombie’s mode is one of the best things about call of duty black ops, and with the right techniques it can be one of the most fun parts of the game. My guide will be broken down into the following parts:
Rounds 1-5 Survival
Rounds 5-15 Survival
Rounds 15-25 Survival
Rounds 25+ Survival
Weapons + Weapon Upgrades
Perks + Map of Everything
Rounds 1-5 Survival
Rounds 1-5 are very easy and you can rack up at least 3000 points with a group of 4 if you do it correctly. The first round it’s a one hit kill with your knife, while this is tempting, it’s not going to get you the most points. Here’s what you do… Use your pistol and shoot them in the chest 5-7 times (not enough to kill them). Then finish them off with your knife. Shooting zombies with your pistol gives you 10 points each shot, and knifing them gives you 30 points. Doing this can rack up your points very quickly in even the first few rounds! Now on to the survival part, the first 5 rounds are vital, since they are the easiest they present an opportunity to open doors buy guns without being attacked by hoards of zombies. After the 3rd round you’re going to want to open the first door, this door is located at the top of the stairs to the right. It’s the cheapest of all the doors (750 points) so have whoever has the least amount of money open it. Check the room for the mystery box (buy weapons if it’s there) then proceed to the next door and have someone else open it. Proceed down the stairs and find yourself in a room very similar to the place you started off at. You should be mid round 4 so everyone needs to take their positions quickly, one guarding the stairs you just came down, one guarding the window that’s to you left when you enter the room, and two guarding the two windows down the stairs. Everyone should buy the mp40 that is on the wall at the bottom of the right stairs. This has good damage for the first 9 rounds. Make your way through rounds 4 and 5 guarding your respective windows.
Rounds 5-15 Survival
Round 6 is the first dog round. To survive dogs, everyone needs to get in the same corner and have two cover the left side and two cover the right side. The first round of dogs is easy (dogs come every 6 rounds, in later rounds you can set claymores down in front of you in case one gets to close). Open the next door, and the door following that one after completing the dog round, Keep your mp40 it’s still good. You should find yourself in the stage on round 7. Again if the box is here use it (please make sure you know what guns you are trading for, you don’t want to trade a good gun for a bad one, refer to the weapons section to find out what the best guns are). There are two windows and one entrance to guard. One window is in the back to the right and one directly to your right when you enter. Put one person on each of these windows, and two people guarding the entrance you just came through. At round 12 turn the power on (the power switch is to the back on your left). This will open the curtains and you will now have a lot more area to cover. Check the diagram to see what room the mystery box is in and go to that room and use the box until you have a good weapon (check my weapons guide). Make sure you all are moving together so you can guard each other while the other uses the box. Once you all have good weapons go back to the stage area, pick up some claymores (they are on the wall) and get into a corner the next dog round is about to start. Put your claymores in front of you and shoot your weapons at the dogs! Once the dog round is over (you should be on round 13 or 14 now). Open the door in the back area of the stage (near were you turned the power on). Go straight through that room and down the stairs, You should come to a gate open it. You are now in the spot you will be spending the rest of your time at, THE ALLEY!!!! Now remember whatever you do, DO NOT, open the other door you find in the back of the alley. Its ruins the spot, because then zombies are coming from 2 directions instead of one. You should now be on round 14, have one person guard the window in the back (person with weakest gun) and one on top of the stairs (person with medium gun) and 2 down in front of the stairs next to the dumpster (two people with best guns). Watch out zombies come down off the overhang so make sure your behind the point where they drop down. Survive round 15.
Round 15-25 Survival
If you have made it this far you’re decent at the game. Round 16 should now be starting, rack up the points this round and try to get 5000 points each. At the end of this round you’re going to try and get a crawler. This can be done by throwing a grenade (or shooting any explosive gun) and having it blast the zombies legs off. As a result you should have a slow moving harmless crawler. This grants you unlimited time to run around and do whatever you like (you can do this at any time at the end of a round, if you need to upgrade a weapon, buy a perk, or go to the mystery box) This time though I want you to go to the pack-o-punch machine. Something many people have no idea exist. Run back to the stage and look out at the seats, now turn to your right and you should see a metal contraption that looks like a teleporter (which it is). Everyone climb in, It should give you a message saying “initiate link to pad” press x. So press x, and have someone run back to the lobby (the room you started in) and in the middle there is a circle with swirly moving liquid in the middle. A message should come up saying “link to teleporter” or something like that. Just press x. Now run back to the teleporter. Make sure everyone is in and press x. You should be teleported to a small room that contains the pack-o-punch. Go up to it with the gun you want to upgrade in hand and press x, it will cost you 5000 points but is well worth it. You should have enough time to for everyone to upgrade. You will get automatically teleported back to the lobby (buy quick revive here, and jugger-nog in the theater area on your way back if you can). Run back to the alley with new upgraded weapons in hand killing the crawler when everyone is back. Now it’s as simple as camp in the alley until you want to upgrade, mystery box, or get a perk. If you survive round 25, you’re actually good at zombies.
Round 25+ Survival
UPGRADE AUTOMATIC WEAPONS AND RAY GUN AND THUNDER GUN ARE A MUST!!!!!!! Everyone needs to have upgraded guns and one person needs to have upgrade thunder gun and one or two people need to have upgrade ray gun. It boils down to skill now. It’s pretty much survive as long as you can at this point. Round 25 is a achievement alone, any further than that is pure skill. I have gotten to round 28 with only two people (me and someone else) using the technique I have shared with you. Good luck.
Weapons!!!!
I’m only going to list the good guns, because listing the other guns is a waste of time, just like it’s a waste of time to use them in the game.
Assault Rifle- Commando
Good damage, good accuracy, fully automatic, decent clip sizes. Even better when upgraded.
Light Machine Gun- RPK
Amazing damage, Acceptable accuracy, FULLLLLY automatic, large clips. Very good when upgraded.
Sub Machine Gun- AK-47u
Decent damage, Very good accuracy (good for head shots), decent clips. Good when upgraded.
Launchers- Thunder Gun
FANTASTIC DAMAGE clears whole areas with one blast, 28 rounds of amazingness. HOT when upgraded.
Hand Guns- Ray gun
I count the ray gun as a handgun, because you use it when you go down. One shot kill for a while, two shot in later rounds, accuracy doesn’t matter (it has good “splash damage” so to speak) very good clip/cartridge size. Even bigger clips when upgraded.
Other guns worth mentioning:
All the other hand guns are actually really good when upgraded.
The handgun you start off with upgrades to a high damage dual wielded grenade launcher. Me and my friends used this once as our only gun and we actually got to round 23, haha so it does work.
Python is actually very good upgraded.
And the dual pistols you get from the box upgrade to a high damage fully automatic dual pistols.
Perks, Mystery Box, Doors, Rooms

only luck is guns ... but my strategy solo works so gud i'll will eventually make a proper video and upload it on youtube hopefully of how my strategy works :)
Just to let everyone know it's not hard to get high levels by yourself because it's the same difficulty if you have 1,2,3 or 4 people the number of people just means how many more zombies there are. For example: with 4 people it is four times as many zombies as with just one person. Actually it is easier the less people because most of the time when playing with people online they don't kill their "quota" and so it makes you have to kill more zombies eventually ending in your demise.
Ps ballistic knife is a must have. If pack-a-punched it allows you to revive your team mates by shooting or knifing them with it so it is much faster than normally reviving. Hope this helped
i made it to lvl 27 solo x)
